In recent years there has been increasing concern about the deterioration in the standards of higher education in economics, environment and finance in the country. Undoubtedly, India has produced and continues to produce economists of high calibre who have made valuable contributions to theory and policymaking. However, at present, there are only a limited number of centres of excellence in post-graduate teaching and research in economics in the country. For various reasons, some of which are well known, these centres of excellence have been dwindling in number. It is unfortunately true that today there are very few schools where teaching and research in economics reach up to the best international standards. Eligibility:

Financial Assistance

Each student would be given a monthly fellowship of Rs.16,000/- in first and second year; Rs.19,000/- in third and fourth year during the programme. A contingency grant of Rs.35,000/- per year would also be provided.

The National institute of Financial Management (NIFM) was set up in 1993 on the basis of a proposal made by Ministry of Finance, which was approved by the Union Cabinet. The Union Cabinet envisaged that NIFM would begin as a training institution for officers recruited by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) through the annual Civil Service Examinations and allocated to the various services responsible for manning senior and top management posts dealing with accounts and finance in the Government of India. (i)           Participants must have completed their Graduation with at least 50% in aggregate from an Indian University / institution recognized by Association of Indian Universities. 3.    Officers at middle/senior level working with the Central or State Governments, Public Enterprises and autonomous organizations belonging to State / Central Government or similar participants from foreign countries are eligible to apply for admission.

4.    Government officers/PSU officers are exempted from Common Admission Tests i.e. CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, GMAT

Eligibility:

1.    Candidate who has passed an engineering degree/ a graduate degree programme with at least one paper in mathematics/statistics and have scored minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA from a recognised university/institution are eligible to apply.

Eligibility:

1. ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION

Candidate must have Minimum 50% marks in class 10th and 12th and a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline including B.E./B.Tech. from a recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.

A relaxation of 5% marks for academic qualification shall be given to candidates belonging to reserve categories.

2. QUALIFYING TEST

The candidate must have appeared in CAT or MAT or CMAT 2018-2019 and scored minimum

160 total score in case of CMAT

400 composite score in case of MAT

Candidates perusing final examination of their Bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply but on selection they shall be given provisional admission subject to the following conditions:

i.              Such candidates must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA in pre- final examination with passing back paper(s), if any in previous semesters / years.

ii.             Candidates must produce the mark sheet of the final examination in original with minimum marks referred above under eligibility, before 30th September 2019 or within the extended time (not beyond 15th October 2019) ,which may be given by the University on the written request of the student giving reasons for non-production of the mark sheet of the final examination. University reserves the right to deny the request of the student.

iii.            Mid-Term examination result of such candidates shall not be declared.

iv.           If condition No’s. (i) and (ii) referred above in this paragraph are not fulfilled, the provisional admission shall stand automatically cancelled and the University shall have no obligation to give any notice before such cancellation.

How to Apply:

Application may be submitted from the date of Web Notification. Last date for applications shall be 15th June, 2019.First ranking list shall be published by 20th June, 2019 with waiting list of five candidates. Selected candidates shall be required to deposit the fees by 25th June, 2019. If any candidate from the main list does not deposit fees and complete the admission process by 25th June, 2019 then he/she will lose the opportunity of being admitted thereafter and the vacant seat shall be fulfilled from the waiting list. How to Apply:

Applications are invited for Full Time Ph.D. Programme in the Departments under specialization listed in point 2:

a)    The application form can be downloaded from the Institute website. Duly completed application form in the prescribed format will only be considered.

GLA University was started with the establishment of GLA Institute of Technology &amp; Management offering B.Tech and MCA programs, in the year 1998 by the current Chancellor Shri Narayan Das Agrawal.
