About College:

The Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi is a Government of India institution and only of its nature in eastern India. The British established this hospital on 17th May 1918 with the name of Ranchi European Lunatic Asylum. It had then a capacity of 174 patients (92 male and 82 female). It catered to the needs of the European mental patients only and it was under the direct control and management of Government of Bihar. In 1922, it was put under the control of a Board of Trustees with various participating state governments represented in the Board and in the very same year its name was changed to European Mental Hospital. The year 1922 is also notable for the fact that the Institute was affiliated to the University of London for the Diploma in Psychological Medicine examination. It was a unique phenomenon since the postgraduate training in Psychiatry was nonexistent in India in those days.It may be worth noting that this Institute has been the most premier centre for mental health in the country and it has many firsts to its credit. For example, to mention only a few, the first Occupational Therapy Department in 1922, ECT in 1943, psychosurgery and neurosurgery in 1947, clinical psychology and Electroencephalography (EEG) departments in 1948, a full fledged neuropathology section in 1952, the first use of Lithium in 1952 and chlorpromazine in 1953.

About Us:

The establishment of Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University was the culmination of efforts during the period, 1955 to 2006 to strengthen   education and services in the fields of Veterinary Science, Dairy Technology and Fishery Science in the State of Andhra Pradesh.  The establishment of three Veterinary Colleges, the first at Rajendranagar during 1946, the second at Bapatla during 1955 and the third at Gannavaram during 1998, paved the way for strengthening Veterinary education in the State.  The Veterinary College at Bapatla was shifted to Tirupati during December, 1957. The College of Fishery Science was started at Muthukur, Nellore Dt. during 1991.  The College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati celebrated Golden Jubilee Year during July, 2004 to July 2005 and the year long Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the College were officially inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Dr.Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on 30th September 2004.  On that occasion, the Chief Minister, while highlighting the importance of livestock and aqua farming in the overall economy of the state, announced the establishment of Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University at Tirupati.

Qualification for Admission: Candidates seeking admission into any of the following Master’s Degree Courses must have passed the relevant Bachelor’s Degree Exam specified against each course from Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University /ANGR Agricultural University or an institution accredited by ICAR/VCI

M.F.Sc

·         B.F.Sc of 4 years duration from State Agricultural Universities

·         In the above qualifying exam, the candidates must have secured minimum OGPA of 6.00/10.00 for General category (for SC/ST/PH-5.00/10.00) or 2.50/4.00 for General category (2.00/4.00 in case of SC/ST/PH) or 60% marks in traditional system (for SC/ST/PH-55%)

·         Only residents of AP/Telangana are eligible for admission except in case of ICAR Quota

·         Candidates with PG qualification are eligible for admission into second PG Program, however, such candidates are not eligible for any stipend

Selection Process

·         The selection of the candidates shall be based on the previous academic record (B.V.Sc & A.H) -30%, performance in PG Entrance Test- (70%).

·         The entrance test of 2 (two) hours duration shall be comprehensive one, covering all relevant subjects prescribed for the concerned Bachelor degree requirements of this University as per VCI MSVE-2008 Regulations

·         The Entrance Exam paper contains only 200 multiple choice questions. The candidates have to mark answers by darkening circles on OMR sheet. The candidates getting 40% or more marks in entrance test only are eligible for admission. However, in case of SC/ST/PH candidates, there are no minimum qualifying marks and candidates are admitted to the extent of seats reserved for them. SC/ST/PH candidates claiming seats under general category have to obtain at least 40% marks in the entrance test

·         Note: In case of a tie, marks secured in Entrance Test, OGPA of BVSc & AH and finally date of birth in that order shall be considered to break the tie

·         Information about the qualifying candidates in entrance test cum merit list will be displayed on University Website on 11th January 2019

About College:

The Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences (ILBS) has been established by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi as an autonomous institute, under the Societies act. The mission of ILBS is to become a dedicated international centre of excellence for the diagnosis, management and advanced training and research in the field of liver and biliary diseases. The first phase of ILBS is already functional having 180 hospital beds, 74 of which cater as intensive care (ICU) beds. The second phase of ILBS, likely to be operational by early 2012, will add a dedicated multi-storie research complex, auditorium, guest-house, hepato-biliary oncology unit, additional beds and residential accommodation. The ILBS aims to provide a healthy work environment to its faculty and staff. ILBS is a deemed university under the UGC act and it aspires to become a unique model for an academic career both for the national and international students and the faculty.

Procedure for Admission:

Selection of Candidates will be made on the basis of all India entrance test. The entrance Examination will be conducted in two shifts. For more details please visit the College website.

Application: Candidates may download the application forms and prospectus from ILBS website. Candidates must ensure their eligibility from the prospectus before applying. Candidates should submit their application online at the ILBS website. The applications for in-service candidates for sponsored seat must be routed through proper channel.

The application fee is Rs.5000/- for PDCC courses, Rs.2500/- for PGCC courses and Rs.1000/- for Ph.D. and Certificate Courses. The fee must be paid by net-banking/debit/credit cards. The application fee once paid will not be refunded even in case of his/her application is rejected.

The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab. After the reorganization of the state, the administrative control of the institute passed on to the Union Territory of Chandigarh in November 1966.  The Institute became an autonomous body under the Act of Parliament in 1967 functioning under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, with the following mandate.

·         UGC-NET Lectureship qualified on/after Dec 2016.
