National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a "Deficiency Disease Enquiry" and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.

AMAR JYOTI CHARITABLE TRUST Amar Jyoti is a voluntary organization rendering rehabilitative services to persons with disabilities through integrated education, medical care, vocational training, child guidance and self-employment since 1981.  It has a branch rendering similar services for the last 25 years in Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh). With the pioneering concept of integration and inclusion, Amar Jyoti is running a school in Delhi and Gwalior where over 500 and 300 children, respectively, with and without disability are studying together in equal number. 

In addition to OPD patients medical care and rehabilitative services are provided free of cost to all school children, economically weaker sections of the society and members of the Amar Jyoti staff. The institution has organized 5 National Integrated Sports Meet. Amar Jyoti also introduced Abilympics – Olympics of abilities for persons with disabilities in India.  As a nodal agency of National Abilympic, Association of India it co-ordinates the Regional, National and International Abilympics. India hosted the 6th International Abilympics in 2003. The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab. Application Procedure

A candidate desirous of appearing in the CET-2018, is required to complete the prescribed application form appended at the end of this brochure and submit the same to the University, on or before the scheduled date

Instructions for Completing the Application Form

i) The application form for admission to CET-2018 is common for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS courses and also for all the colleges mentioned on page number 24; no separate form is prescribed for any particular course or college

ii) The candidates should avoid overwriting, cutting, erasures on the form. Any discrepancies in the statements and, or submission of incomplete form will lead to its rejection, cancellation of admission. Candidates are not required to Enclose Originals or Photocopies of any Certificate with the Application Form

Completed application form must be accompanied by CET-2018 fee of Rs.2000,-; if submitted in person the fee can be paid by cash or demand draft if mailed the fee should be paid by DD of Rs.2000,- drawn on any Nationalised bank payable at Pune, or Bharati Sahakari Bank Ltd only in favour of "The Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University”, Pune to the following address "Bharati Vidyapeeth University CET Office, CET Department 2nd floor, Bharati Vidyapeeth Bhavan, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, Pune-411030"

Candidates are advised to obtain and maintain proof of draft and of dispatch of the application form; this may be useful for obtaining duplicate admission card if required
