Eligibility:

·         The minimum qualification of candidates seeking admission to the programme is graduation or its equivalent Degree in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/UGC or AICTE. The candidates should have obtained at least 50 per cent (45 per cent in case of reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

·         In addition, the candidates must have valid score of any major national level management aptitude tests such as CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT or ATMA.

Selection Process

Eligibility:

QUALIFYING EXAMINATION

AGE LIMIT

For candidates from General and OBC categories, upper age limit is 22 years as on 01st July 2020. Candidates born on or after August 01, 1997 are eligible. In the case of Scheduled Caste, PD and Scheduled Tribe candidates, upper age limit is 27 years as on 01st July 2020. That is SC/ST candidates born on or after August 01, 1992 are eligible. Upper age limit for Physically Challenged candidates shall be reckoned as per the category he/she belongs to i.e. General/SC/ST/OBC. Established in 2011 as an ‘Institution of National Importance’ (interim operations started in June, 2010), the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) has adopted the mandate to create and train some of the best of tomorrow’s Science & Technology leaders through a combination of innovative and novel curricula, pedagogy and evaluation. AcSIR’s focus will be on imparting instruction and providing research opportunities in such areas that are not routinely taught in regular academic universities in India.

It has been set up based on a ‘Hub and the Spokes’ model where hub is responsible for centralized administrative functions. 2.    Online Application Form: On completion of AcSIR Online Application form, AcSIR Application Number (AAN) will be generated e.g. AcSIR12345. This AAN shall be used in future correspondence between applicant and AcSIR.

3.    Print Acknowledgement of Admission Receipt with AcSIR Application Number (AAN).

·         Important dates of admission process and any other update or information will be flashed on Portal-Please check regularly.

·         For each Program of study, only one application is allowed for an applicant. If, at any time, it is found that more than one application is filled by a candidate then the candidature will be summarily rejected.

Eligibility:

Candidates must have passed Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination with 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination with English as a subject.

Appearing candidates may also apply, subject to production of marksheet with requisite percentage of marks in Class 12 at the time of Entrance Test and Interview.

Notes:

·         Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st October 1995 in case of General / OBC category and 1st October 1990 in case of SC/ST are eligible for admission. Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board Class X (High School) certificate only will be considered as authentic.

·         Candidates with foreign diplomas should see the EdCIL website for equivalence (www.edcil.co.in), and if required should obtain an equivalence certificate from the evaluation division of the AIU (website www.aiuweb.org).

·         In case any Board awards grades instead of marks, the calculation of equivalent marks would be based on the procedure prescribed by the Board.

·         At the time of reporting for admission & document verification, selected candidates will be required to produce originals of Pass Certificate of Class 10, Marksheets of Class 10 and Class 12 showing requisite minimum marks, as well as Caste or Special Category certificates in proper format signed by appropriate authority (please see instructions).

·         At any level of the studies [Class X or Class XII], a candidate / applicant must have passed all the required subjects at that level from the same Board.

Selection Procedure:

The selection will be based on performance of the candidate in the Entrance Test and Interview conducted by the Institute. However, candidates must meet the age criteria and other minimum academic requirements (see Eligibility Criteria above).

Financial Assistance

 

Financial assistance in the form of Institute Assistantships is available to the students admitted to Ph D programmes under Full Time regular registration category. Such students must have qualified GATE.

 

Presently the Assistantships @ Rs. 31,000/- per month is available to full time students admitted to the PhD programmes.

 

The NET-LS qualified students may be eligible for Institute assistantship in Humanities and Management provided they have CPI of 7.0 or 70% marks in the qualifying examination. The assistantship is subjected to its availability.

 

A student shall be assigned duties up to eight hours per week by the Departments to avail the Teaching Assistantship. The renewal of assistantship is contingent on the student's satisfactory performance in the academic programme and in the discharge of assistantship duties on a semester to semester basis.

 

For the Odd Semester of Session 2020-21, the Institute Assistantship available in each department are as given in Table 2D of Annexure II.

 

No student shall be admitted to Full time Regular Registration Category without Institute Assistantship or National-level Scholarships/Fellowships. No student can get financial assistance from more than one source at a time.
