Eligibility:

QUALIFYING EXAMINATION

A pass in 10+2 system of Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent from a recognized Board/Council with a minimum of 50% in case of General and OBC candidates and 45% in case of SC and ST candidates. Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in Entrance Examination 2020 on provisional basis. Provisional admission will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) scoring the required percentage of marks is not submitted at the time of admission or latest by 30.09.2020 The offer of admission is subject to verification of original certificates/documents at the time of admission. AGE LIMIT

For candidates from General and OBC categories, upper age limit is 22 years as on 01st July 2020. Candidates born on or after August 01, 1997 are eligible. In the case of Scheduled Caste, PD and Scheduled Tribe candidates, upper age limit is 27 years as on 01st July 2020. That is SC/ST candidates born on or after August 01, 1992 are eligible. Upper age limit for Physically Challenged candidates shall be reckoned as per the category he/she belongs to i.e. General/SC/ST/OBC. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/Pre-University Certificate shall be considered as the authentic proof for age criteria. At the time of counseling, this certificate must be produced in original as a proof of age, failing which the candidate will not be considered for counseling/admission.

Established in 2011 as an ‘Institution of National Importance’ (interim operations started in June, 2010), the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) has adopted the mandate to create and train some of the best of tomorrow’s Science & Technology leaders through a combination of innovative and novel curricula, pedagogy and evaluation. AcSIR’s focus will be on imparting instruction and providing research opportunities in such areas that are not routinely taught in regular academic universities in India.

2.    Online Application Form: On completion of AcSIR Online Application form, AcSIR Application Number (AAN) will be generated e.g. AcSIR12345. This AAN shall be used in future correspondence between applicant and AcSIR.

3.    Print Acknowledgement of Admission Receipt with AcSIR Application Number (AAN).

·         Important dates of admission process and any other update or information will be flashed on Portal-Please check regularly.

·         For each Program of study, only one application is allowed for an applicant. If, at any time, it is found that more than one application is filled by a candidate then the candidature will be summarily rejected.

The candidates for the programme should have one of the following qualifications obtained from any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or an equivalent qualification from an institution recognized and approved by AICTE/AIU:

3. A 4-year/8-semester Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering/B. Arch) with at least 6.5 cumulative grade point average (CGPA) or equivalent percent marks.

AND

Minimum 5 years of full time managerial/executive/professional work experience as on 15th June 2020 after graduation

Selection Procedure

A candidate applying for Executive PhD Programme should have a valid test score in any of the following:

1.    IIM Sambalpur Aptitude Test (IIMSAT); or

2.    CAT conducted by IIMs (last three year scores are valid); or

3.    GRE/GATE/GMAT/JRF-UGC/CSIR (last two year scores are valid)

Alternatively, Standard Test Score is not required if an applicant is PGP Alumni of any IIMs (all regular courses - PGPX/PGP-PMP/Integrated Programme in Management) or regular PGP from top 50 Institutes as per NIRF ranking (2018/2019) with CGPA 6.0 and above in a 10-point scale.

Final selection will be based on Test Score, Personal Interview, Academic Qualifications, Relevant work experience, Research Aptitude, Publications and Reference Letter.

Financial Assistance

 

Financial assistance in the form of Institute Assistantships is available to the students admitted to Ph D programmes under Full Time regular registration category. Such students must have qualified GATE.

 

Presently the Assistantships @ Rs. 31,000/- per month is available to full time students admitted to the PhD programmes.

 

The NET-LS qualified students may be eligible for Institute assistantship in Humanities and Management provided they have CPI of 7.0 or 70% marks in the qualifying examination. The assistantship is subjected to its availability.

 

A student shall be assigned duties up to eight hours per week by the Departments to avail the Teaching Assistantship. The renewal of assistantship is contingent on the student's satisfactory performance in the academic programme and in the discharge of assistantship duties on a semester to semester basis.

 

For the Odd Semester of Session 2020-21, the Institute Assistantship available in each department are as given in Table 2D of Annexure II.

 

No student shall be admitted to Full time Regular Registration Category without Institute Assistantship or National-level Scholarships/Fellowships. No student can get financial assistance from more than one source at a time.

Eligibility:

Candidates who have passed Bachelor Degree examination with not less than 50% of the marks in all the years of the degree examination can seek admission to Master of Computer Applications.
