Notes:

      Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1 October 1995 in case of General category and 1 October 1990 in case of SC/ST/PwD are eligible for admission. Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board Class X (High School) certificate only will be considered as authentic.

      Candidates with foreign diplomas should see the EdCIL website for equivalence (www.edcil.co.in), and if required should obtain an equivalence certificate from the evaluation division of the AIU (website www.aiuweb.org).

      In case any Board awards grades instead of marks, the calculation of equivalent marks would be based on the procedure prescribed by the Board.

      At the time of document verification, candidates will be required to produce originals of Pass Certificate of Class X, Marksheets of Class X and Class XII showing requisite minimum marks, as well as Caste or Special Category certificates in proper format signed by appropriate authority (please see instructions).

      At any level of the studies [Class X or Class XII], a candidate / applicant must have passed all the required subjects at that level from the same Board.

Selection Procedure:

Provisional selection will be based on marks obtained by the candidates in Class 12. However, candidates must meet the age criteria and other minimum academic requirements (see Eligibility Criteria).

Important Instructions:

Eligibility:

Candidates must have passed Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination with 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination with English as a subject.

Appearing candidates may also apply, subject to production of marksheet with requisite percentage of marks in Class 12 at the time of Entrance Test and Interview.

Notes:

[The percentage of marks obtained by a candidate in the bachelor’s degree would be calculated based on the practice followed by the University / Institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree]

4)    Candidates appearing for final examinations of their Bachelor’s programme in 2020 can also apply, provided they have obtained requisite marks or equivalent (as per item 3 above) based on latest available grades / marks at the time of applying.

5)    Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distancelearning programmes are eligible only if (a) the programmes are recognized by the DEC-IGNOU (b) they have passed the qualifying examination at the time of applying, with minimum requisite marks in average calculated as per item (3) above. They must carry original copy of pass certificate, marksheets of qualifying examination and proof of Institute recognized by the DEC-IGNOU along with their application during the GD &PI. About College:

Jiwaji University Gwalior came into existence on May 23, 1964, through M.P. Govt. Ordinance no. 15 of 1963. Late Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, the then President of India, laid the foundation stone on 11th December 1964 at a sprawling campus of over 225 acres of land at Naulakha Parade ground. This was a generous contribution of Scindia family, in particular Kailashwasi Maharaja Shrimant Jiwaji Rao Scindia and late Rajmata Shrimati Vijayaraje Scindia. How to Apply:

·         Firstly the student should go through the advertisement published in News papers or University website and decide in which courses/ she / he wants to apply. The students can also visit the website of the university. After deciding, the course/courses in which she / he wish to apply The student may fill up form himself/ herself or the student can go to the kiosks of mp online and ask the kiosk person for submission of admission form of Jiwaji University Gwalior. The kiosk person will help the student in filling the form. The student is required to carry with her / his two passport size recent photographs, and all mark sheets and certificate for getting it scanned and attached to the admission form.

·         The student will have to fill her/ his name, father’s name and occupation mother’s name, date of birth, category to which she/he belongs, nationality, place of birth, address for correspondence, extracurricular activities, status of the student whether she/ he is in service, and all her / his academic details of 10th,12th,graduation. At the end they will have to sign a declaration. At the same time she/he also has to fill the Proctorial Board form. The students also require filling their mobile number to enable them to send SMS.

·         Merit of admission will be prepared on the basis of scanned documents enclosed by candidate in application form. Therefore if candidate does not enclose all required documents or furnish wrong information he/she will be himself/ herself responsible for any consequences.

·         The Candidate has to take the print outs of Admission Form cum Receipt of payment and a Proctorial Board form and required to submit printout of completed application, along with the photocopies of his testimonials viz. photocopies of all mark sheets, caste certificate, certificates related to the participation in NCC, NSS, Sport and Co curricular activities at the time of admission in respective departments. The list of original documents and their self attested photocopies to be brought at the time of reporting to the respective department by the candidate himself/herself personally is given in the end of the rules.

·         Last date for submission of admission form, and other important dates are given in the end of the rules.

·Payment of application fees of Rs. 1000/- (Rs 800/- for SC/ST/OBC) together with Rs. 200/- registration per subject through mp online. For every course, registration fee of Rs. 200/- per course / subject has to be paid along with the application fees Rs. 1000/- at the kiosk centre (For example if a candidate applies for three courses. She / he needs to pay Rs. 1000+600 = 1600/-and Rs.800+600=1400/-for SC/ST/OBC). A student is permitted to apply in maximum of five courses only.

·         Applications for admission shall not be accepted after the last date as notified by the University.

(a) The applicants appearing for the qualifying examination in March/April 2018 are allowed to take the Entrance Test - 2018 provisionally, subject to the condition that their candidature shall stand cancelled in case they do not pass the 10 + 2 March / April Exams 2018 with the required percentage of marks.

(b) Candidates passing the compartment papers of qualifying exam of 10 + 2 subsequently shall not be eligible for admission even if a seat is available

(c) In case an applicant has passed a qualifying examination from Board/University whose degree has not been notified as equivalent to the Punjabi University, Patiala, he/she will have to produce the eligibility certificate from Punjabi University, Patiala at the time of interview,failing which his / her candidature shall not be considered.

(d) Candidates whose declaration of results is delayed should apply well in time to the concerned Board of examination to forward a confidential result directly to Principal, Army Institute of Law, Mohali, Punjab. The responsibility to ensure its timely dispatch will be that of the candidate. Delayed receipt of result shall render the candidate ineligible for admission.

Admission Process

·         Admission to 60 seats for wards of army personnel will be done through entrance test(Online LET) conducted by AIL under the aegis of AWES.

·         Admission to 04 seats in the All India Category will also through the same entrance test.

·         Candidates for both Army and All India Category will be called for counselling as per merit in the written exam. Admission will be granted only if the candidate is found eligible on the day of counselling.

·         Admission to 16 seats in the Punjab Category will be based on 10+2 merits, drawn up by the nominated university as per the notification issued by Govt. of Punjab.
