About College:

After partition of the country, the Punjab College of Engineering & Technology, Lahore (formerly known as the Maclagan Engineering College) of the pre-partitioned Punjab remained in Pakistan under the name of "East Punjab Engineering College". From December 1947, it functioned in the premises of the Thomson engineering College, Roorkee now known as Indian Institute of Technology (Roorkee). In 1950, the word "East" was dropped and the college was named as "Punjab Engineering College". At the end of year 1953, the college shifted to its own premises built at Chandigarh and started functioning here from January, 1954.

Eligibility:

Age: Only applicants born on or after October 01, 1993 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board / University Certificate [Class X or equivalent] or any certificate issued by the Government authorities only will be taken as authentic

Academic Eligibility

Applicant must have passed the qualifying examination, i.e. Senior Secondary [10+2] or equivalent [See Appendix I] from any system of education as recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (www.aiuweb.org). AND

Applicant should have completed successfully Mathematics, Physics and one of the subjects from (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology) in 11th AND / OR 12th, as applicable in the respective boards AND

Applicant must have secured a minimum of at least 60% aggregate marks (average of all subjects of qualifying examination taken together) or 6.50 CGPA (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent in the qualifying examination. In case, CGPA on a different scale is awarded OR if only grades are awarded, percentage/CGPA equivalence provided by the principal examination authorities will only be considered. Applicants appearing for the qualifying examination with the above-mentioned subjects in the academic year 2018-19 and expecting their final results latest by September 15, 2018 may also apply. AND

Applicant should have a minimum total valid score of 1800 in SAT Subject Tests (Subjects: Mathematics Level 2, Physics and Chemistry).

Residential Requirement

All foreign nationals studying in any country including India or Indian nationals studying abroad who fulfill prescribed admission criteria shall be eligible.

Prescribed admission criteria for Indian Nationals shall be at least two years of education, inclusive of 11th & 12th or equivalent (not beyond), in a foreign country during the last 8 years and must pass the qualifying examination from abroad.

Eligibility:

1. Eligibility for Full-time Research Student/Candidate

An applicant belonging to the above admission categories should possess the following qualifications in appropriate areas to be eligible to apply for admission for the Ph.D. programme of the Institute.

a) Engineering Technology streams: Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology of 2 years duration after graduation in respective discipline or equivalent with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 6.00 on a 10 point scale or equivalent as determined by the Institute wherever letter grades are awarded; or 60% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters) where marks are awarded. OR

b) Science/ Humanities & Social Science, Management Streams: Master’s degree in Science/ Humanities & Social Sciences/ Management in respective discipline or equivalent with minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 6.00 on a 10 point scale or equivalent as determined by the Institute where letter grades are awarded; or 60% marks where marks are awarded. Candidates with valid GATE/ NET score shall be given preference.

c) The admission eligibility requirements may be relaxed to 5.5 on a 10 point scale or equivalent, or to 55% marks for admission in all categories of scholars for the following categories: i) SC/ST candidates ii) PwD (Persons with disability) Candidates with valid GATE/ NET score shall be given preference.

2. Direct Admission of B.E./B.Tech. candidates to Ph.D. programme

a)     All candidates having B.E./B. Tech degree would be eligible for admission to Ph.D. program

b)     To be eligible for the admission under this category, a candidate is required to have minimum CGPA of atleast:

i)                    9.0 (on a scale of 10) at the end of the seventh semester (if applying during final year) under Open category.

ii)                  9.0 (on a scale of 10) at the end of the eighth semester (if applying after the completion of B.E./ B.Tech) under Open category.

iii)                 For SC/ST category students, the minimum CGPA requirement will be 8.5.

c)     Candidates should have a valid GATE/NET score. Selection to program would be made on the basis of GATE/NET score and interview.

d)     Successful candidates in final year of undergraduate programme may be given provisional admission to the Ph.D programme. This admission shall be confirmed provided the student completes his/her undergraduate programme with required graduation CGPA.

e)     Under exceptional circumstances, when a student is unable to complete the requirement of the Ph.D. prograame, an exit option with the M.Tech. degree will be available at any time after the end of two years, subject to completion of required course work and M.Tech. dissertation.

f)       B.E./B.Tech students taking direct admission to Ph.D. programme will be required to complete mandatory course work in the first two semesters (similar to that of M.Tech. programme). Successful completion of State-of Art proposal and additional course requirements as per UGC guidelines after additional one year may entitle the student to assistantship as admissible for Ph.D. students with Master’s qualification.

3. Eligibility for Part-time Ph.D

a)     The eligibility criteria shall be the same as that for full time students. Additionally, the part time candidates need to fulfill the following conditions and provide the information along with the application:

1.      The applicants must have been in continuous service with the sponsoring organization for at least two years at the time of submitting the application form for admission and submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employer stating that (i) He/she is on the regular payroll of the organization, (ii)He/she is permitted to pursue studies on a part-time basis, and (iii) His/her official duties will permit sufficient time for research. Sponsorship letter (on letterhead of the sponsoring organization) should include an undertaking stating that the period of study of the candidates will be treated as ‘on duty’ with usual salary/allowances, and he/she will be relieved for the period of studies.

2.      He/ She will be required to reside at the Institute for a period of not less than one semester i.e. six months duration which is mandatory in the first year of Ph.D Programme. (This condition of minimum residence period will be automatically waived for candidates who are working in PEC or in Organizations/ institutions located within a distance of 50 km from the Institute).

Note: 1. Guidelines on course work for Senior Executives working at the level of CEOs and Directors in industries, Government and research organizations who want to register as Part Time Ph.D. candidates are given in Clause VIII.

Note: 2. Ph.D. degrees which are pursued either full time or part time will be treated as degrees awarded through Regular Mode provided these are in conformity with the existing Statutes/Byelaws/Ordinances etc. of the degree awarding University. However, the Ph.D. acquired under distance mode is not permitted.

Vellore, a district capital in Tamil Nadu, has long been known for its stately fort and temple, renowned hospital and medical college, Parry's factories and the vast government industrial estate in nearby Ranipet. Vellore's history records several dynasties and powers. Eligibility:

Only candidates who have the following credentials shall be eligible for admission to B.Arch. Course. 
Candidates who have studied in regular, full time and formal education alone are eligible to apply. 

(i)       10+2 or equivalent examination of Central/State Govts. with 60% aggregate marks and with Mathematics as a compulsory subject of examination.

(ii)      Age limit: born on or after 01.07.1996. 

(iii)    Candidates must have a valid Score, in the All India National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture (COA), India.

Army Institute of Law (AIL) was established in July 1999 under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). Its interim campus at Patiala was inaugurated by Lt. Gen. BA LLB Integrated (Duration: 5 years)

Eligibility:

A candidate who has passed 10+2 examination from Punjab School Education Board or any other equivalent examination recognized as such by the Punjabi University, Patiala, securing at least 45% marks vide Punjabi University Letter No.216468/Meeting-4 dated 7 May 2004. The applicants, who have obtained 10+2 through Open University systems directly, without having any basic qualifications for pursuing such studies, are not eligible for admission in Law Courses.

1.      The applicants appearing for the qualifying examination in March/April 2017 are allowed to take the Entrance Test - 2017 provisionally, subject to the condition that their candidature shall stand cancelled in case they do not pass the 10 + 2 March / April Exams 2017 with the required percentage of marks.

2.      Candidates passing the compartment papers of qualifying exam of 10 + 2 subsequently shall not be eligible for admission even if a seat is available.

3.      In case an applicant has passed a qualifying examination from Board/University whose degree has not been notified as equivalent to the Punjabi University, Patiala, he/she will have to produce the eligibility certificate from Punjabi University, Patiala at the time of interview, failing which his / her candidature shall not be considered.

4.      Candidates whose declaration of results is delayed should apply well in time to the concerned Board of examination to forward a confidential result directly to Principal, Army Institute of Law, Mohali, Punjab. The responsibility to ensure its timely dispatch will be that of the candidate. Delayed receipt of result shall render the candidate ineligible for admission.

a)     Admission to 60 seats for wards of army personnel will be done through entrance test conducted by AIL under the aegis of AWES.

b)     Admission to 04 seats in the All India Category will also through the same entrance test.

c)     Candidates for both Army and All India Category will be called for counselling as per merit in the written exam. Admission will be granted only if the candidate is found eligible on the day of counselling.

d)     Admission to 16 seats in the Punjab Category will be based on 10+2 merits, drawn up by the nominated university as per the notification issued by Govt. of Punjab.

National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a "Deficiency Disease Enquiry" and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.

About College:

The main objective of setting up of the Indian Culinary Institute (ICI) is to institutionalize a mechanism to support efforts intended to preserve, document, promote and disseminate Indian Cuisine, meet the sectoral requirement of specialists specific to Indian Cuisine, as also of promoting Cuisine as a Niche Tourism product. The ICIs will be Centres of Excellence which will offer structured regular programmes of study specific to culinary arts and culinary management leading to graduate and post graduate level degrees, promote research and innovation, organize demand driven certificate and diploma courses, document and create data base specific to Indian cuisine and commission studies and survey on cuisine.

The need for ICI was felt as the formal education specific to Indian cuisine, a culinary art, with pan India sweep is conspicuous by its absence. There is no regular credible institutional source at apex level for supply of cuisine specialists to the Sector. Also, there was no institutional mechanism to document and disseminate knowedge related to cuisine and gastronomy. In India, at present, there is a dearth of state-of-the-art training ground to groom top-of-the-line chefs of international standards. To fill this void, the Indian Culinary Institute would provide the appropriate training platform at par with the elite “Chef Schools” functioning in different parts of the developed world.

BBA in Culinary Art

Eligibility:

A pass in 10+2 system of Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent from a recognised Board/Council with a minimum of 50% in case of General and OBC candidates and 45% in case of SC and ST candidates Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in Entrance Examination2018 on provisional basis. Foreign Medical Graduates Exam FMGE Screening Test:

·         As per the Screening Test Regulations 2002, an Indian citizen possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with the MCI or State Medical Council on or after 15th March 2002 shall have to qualify the Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG) Exam (Screening Test)

·         National Board of Examinations shall conduct next FMGE (Screening Test) on 29th June on Computer Based Platform at various test centres across the Country.

Eligibility:

The Applicant must meet/fulfill the following criteria:

·         He/she is a citizen of India or Overseas Citizen of India

·         The candidate should possess a primary medical qualification, which is confirmed by the Indian Embassy concerned, to be a recognized qualification for enrolment as medical practitioner in the country in which the institution awarding the said qualification is situated

·         It is mandatory to provide proof/documentary evidence in support of the candidate having passed final exam for such a primary medical qualification/possess the primary medical qualification on or before the cut-off date. In the event of the date of issue of result/proof of primary medical qualification being after the prescribed cut-off date, the application form shall be rejected and candidate declared as ineligible

·         Candidate seeking provisional or permanent registration shall not have to qualify the Screening Test if he/she holds an Undergraduate medical qualification from

·         The NBE FMGE 2018 Entrance Test is conducted in English Language

·         There are 300 multiple-choice questions (MCQ) of single response type in the paper

·         An applicant shall be declared as having passed only if he/she obtains a minimum of 150 marks out of 300 in the exam

·         Candidates are required to report at the ‘Reporting Counter’ at 07.30 AM for Part One and01.00 PM for Part Two (Two hour prior to the start time). 1.      Students for admission into Ph.D. Programs in Engineering Departments must satisfy one of the following criteria:

For graduates from IITs/NITs, the minimum CPI requirement is 7.0 (on 10 point scale). For SC/ST candidates, there is a relaxation of 0.5 CPI or 5% of marks.

2.      Students for admission into the Ph.D. Programs in Science departments must have a Master degree in the relevant discipline ) with a valid GATE / UGC / CSIR / NBHM / NET score for admission with a minimum CPI of 6.5 (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent (60% of marks). 4.      Students for admission into the Ph.D. Programs in Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) Department must have a Masters degree in any field a minimum CPI of 6.0 (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent (55% of marks) and a valid GATE / UGC / CSIR / NBHM / NET score for admission. GROUP B: Ph.D. Program–No financial assistance or stipend by NIT Silchar will be provided for this GROUP.

Following students will be considered under this GROUP:

I)                  REGULAR- The regular students are those who work full-time for their Ph.D. and self-financed.

II)               SPONSORED-who are employed in a Central/State Govt. Departments/PSUs/Reputed Educational Institutes/Research organizations/Reputed Industries for doing research in the Institute on a full-time basis. He / She should have at least two years of working experience in the respective field. The candidate must submit the filled-in sponsorship letter (FORM I) from the employer with the application for admission. He / She shall not be entitled to any financial support from the Institute.

III)            PART-TIME This category refers to the candidates who are professionally employed personnel. They have to stay in the Institute/around the Institute at least during the period of course work so that they can attend regular classes as per the Institute academic norm. The applicant must be an employee of a State/Central Govt. Departments/PSUs/ Reputed Educational Institutes/Research organizations/Reputed Industries at the time of admission having at least one year experience in the discipline in which admission is sought. No financial assistance shall be provided by the Institute to such students. A No Objection Certificate from the Head of the Institute/Organization, in which he/she is employed, must be enclosed with application in FORM II.

IV)             PROJECT STAFF This category refers to the candidates who work on sponsored projects in the Institute.

V)                SPONSORED (EXTERNAL REGISTRATION) - Candidates employed in R&D organizations / educational Institutes having adequate research facilities. Allahabad University CRET 2018 - The University of Allahabad shall conduct Combined Research Entrance Test- 2018 (CRET-2018) at Allahabad for admission to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (D.Phil.) (hereinafter referred to as D.Phil. Program) of the University of Allahabad for the session 2018-19 in the subjects.

Details of Program:

All candidates seeking admission to the D.Phil. Program of the University of Allahabad for thesession 2018-19, in the subjects listed in para, shall have to qualify in the Combined Research Entrance Test (CRET-2018) to be conducted by the Allahabad University at Allahabad

All candidates, including candidates exempted in Level 1 Test, shall be required to fulfill the following Eligibility Criteria for appearing in CRET-2018 and for admission to the D.Phil. Program.

Eligibility:

·         Candidates who have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC)/Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) shall be exempted from the Level 1 Test of CRET examination conducted by the University of Allahabad

·         A minimum score at the Post-graduate Examination of 55% marks (or the equivalent Letter Grade/Grade Point under the seven-point Letter Grade Scale), laid down by the UGC in the case of General candidates and 50% marks (or the equivalent Letter Grade / Grade Point) in the case of OBC/SC/ST/PH candidates

·         For the purposes of Criterion 1.02.1, the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate shall not be rounded-off to the next higher integer

·         A minimum average score in the entire academic career of 54% marks (or the equivalent Letter Grade/Grade Point) in the case of General/OBC candidates; or 49% marks (or the equivalent Letter Grade/Grade Point) in the case of SC/ST/PH candidates

·         Provided further, If the candidate desires to appear at Level 1 of the CRET examination he/she is allowed to appear at Level 1 of CRET examination, but his eligibility shall be determined only on the basis of the marks obtained by him/her in the CRET Exam

Categories of candidates shall be exempted from the Level 1 & Level 2 Tests, both:

·         All the candidates selected by the University Grants Commission (UGC)/Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), subject to the validity norms of the respective fellowship. However, such candidates who have been selected for JRF are desires of appearing at Level 1 and Level 2 of the CRET-2018 exam, they are allowed to appear in CRET-2018 exam conducted by University of Allahabad

·         Provided further the eligibility of such candidates shall be determined only on the basis of the marks obtained by him/her in the CRET exam

·         Candidates for D.Phil in the Dept. of Electronics and Communication with M.Tech/M.E in Electronics Engineering or equivalent subjects or M.Tech/ME in Computer Science & Engineering or equivalent Subjects

·         Candidates for D.Phil in the Dep. of Earth and Planetary Sciences with M.Tech in Geology/Applied geology or Geo-Physics who have valid GATE score before the last date of applying for CRET and have a GATE score of not less than 75%

·         There shall be negative marking in objective-type questions; for every correct answer 4 marks will be awarded and for each wrong answer one mark will be deducted

Minimum Qualifying Marks

For General and OBC Category Candidates: Level 1 will be qualifying for Level 2 and Level 2 will be qualifying for Level 3.However, for Level 3, marks of Level 2 only will be considered. In order to qualify Level 1, 40% marks are essential. Similarly, to qualify for Level 3, 40% marks at Level 2 is necessary. However, if a candidate fails to score 40% marks at Level 1 or at Level 2, he/she shall be eligible for Level 3 provided that the total marks at Level 1 and Level 2 is 50%; the merit of Level 2 only will be considered for Level 3

For SC/ST/PH Category Candidates: Level 1 will be qualifying for Level 2 &Level 2 will be qualifying for Level 3. However, for Level 3, marks of Level 2 only will be considered. In order to qualify Level 1, 35% marks are essential. Similarly, to qualify for Level 3, 35% marks at Level 2 is necessary. However, if a candidate fails to score 35% marks at Level 1 or at Level 2, he/she shall be eligible for Level 3 provided that the total marks at Level 1 and Level 2 is 40%. The merit of Level 2 only will be considered for Level 3

Exam Pattern 

Level 1 Test

This test is of objective type questions and it is divided into two sections - Section A and Section B. Negative Marking for wrong answers is applicable for Level 1 Test

Section A

General Awareness, Academic and Research Aptitude: This Section of the paper will comprise of 50 multiple choices type objective questions of the subject opted by the candidate. All questions are to be attempted. Each question carries four marks. Duration of this Section will be 01:30 hours

Section B

Subject Proficiency in the CRET 2018 subject applied for: This Section will comprise of 50 multiple choices type questions of the subject opted by the candidate. All questions are to be attempted. Each question carries four marks. Duration of this Section will be 01:30 hours

Note

Test for Level 1 - Section A and Level 1 - Section B will be in continuation. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam room in between the two Sections

Immediately after completion of Section A duration, i.e. 1:30 hours, the question/answer booklet for Section A will be collected and simultaneously question booklet and answer sheet for Section B will be distributed. Total duration of Level 1 Test (Level 1 A and Level 1 B) is 3 hours

Level 2 (Written Subject Test)

This test is of subjective type based on the subject of CRET-2018 opted by the candidate in its online registration and eligibility

The duration of Level 2 (Written Subject Test) of CRET-2018 shall be two hours and the total marks shall be 200; this test will comprise of 3 sections consisting of Short Answer (10 questions of 10 marks each to be answered in 200 words), Medium Answer (3 questions of 20 marks each to be answered in 200 words) and Long Answer question (1 question of 40 marks to be answered in 400 words)

In all 14 questions are to be answered in Level 2 Test. There may or may not be internal choices within each question

Application Fees

·         Test Fees for candidates required to appear for (Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Tests) or (Level 2 and Level 3 Tests)

·         For General/OBC: Rs.1500/-

·         For ST/SC/PH/VH: Rs.700/-

·         Test fees for candidates exempted from the Level 1 and Level 2 Tests, and required to appear only for the Level 3 Test

·         For General / OBC- Rs.1200/-

·         For ST/SC/PH/VH: Rs.700/-

With the pioneering concept of integration and inclusion, Amar Jyoti is running a school in Delhi and Gwalior where over 500 and 300 children, respectively, with and without disability are studying together in equal number. 

In addition to OPD patients medical care and rehabilitative services are provided free of cost to all school children, economically weaker sections of the society and members of the Amar Jyoti staff. The institution has organized 5 National Integrated Sports Meet. Amar Jyoti also introduced Abilympics – Olympics of abilities for persons with disabilities in India.  As a nodal agency of National Abilympic, Association of India it co-ordinates the Regional, National and International Abilympics. India hosted the 6th International Abilympics in 2003. Amar Jyoti is running a community based rehabilitation project in 10 urban slums of East Delhi where all necessary services for rehabilitation are provided. 

The Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy (affiliated to University of Delhi) conducts a 4 ½  year Bachelor of Physiotherapy program (Inclusive of six month Internship).The curriculum has been developed keeping in mind an ever increasing knowledge base that is anchored in scientific evidence . Teaching at the Institute is problem-based and our highly qualified and clinically oriented faculty uses a variety of contemporary pedagogic strategies that include a judicious mix of didactic and laboratory based instructional technique.   

Course Name:

Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) [Specialization in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Neurological Physiotherapy]

Eligibility:

MPT [Specialization in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Neurological Physiotherapy] 2 years: General/ Reserved Category (SC/ ST/ OH). 

Candidates should have fulfilled at least ONE of the following conditions: 

a. Successful completion of an undergraduate physiotherapy degree (B.Sc. (PT) / BPT) from a recognized college/institute/university within India of not less than 4½ years duration (including 6 months of internship) with 50% of aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/OH) in university exams. Candidates who have completed 3 ½ years course and an additional bridge course of 1 year will be considered equivalent to 4 ½ years course. 

b. An undergraduate physiotherapy qualification (B.Sc. (PT) / BPT etc.) of 3 ½ years duration from a recognized college/ institute/ university plus at least 10 years of work experience.

Note: 

A SC/ ST candidate while applying for admission will be required to submit a certificate to the effect that he/ she belongs to that particular category from competent authority. List of authorities can be obtained from administration office of the Institute on request.

An Orthopaedically handicapped- OH candidate will have to submit a Disability Certificate issued by the Government. OH candidate will get preference in their respective category.

1. The candidate must have passed Senior School Certificate Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education (12 years)/ Indian School Certificate Examination of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination/ Intermediate/ Pre-medical Examination or an Examination recognised as equivalent thereto with 50% marks or more (45% marks or more for reserved category) in the aggregate of four subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English Core) as main subjects provided the student has passed each subject separately. Candidate should be declared overall passed on the mark sheet.
2. The candidate should be minimum 17 year of age on 31st December in the year of admission.

Note:
